You probably already have some experience of the game, but we’d help you achieve the confidence and knowledge required, and will pay for you to go on an English Cricket Board course over the winter.

You won’t mind making tough decisions on the field, but above all it’s enjoying being part of a local club. We also pay a fee for each match.

The short course will give any cricket enthusiast a taste for what umpiring entails. It will give you an overview of the basic laws of the game, how to apply them and enable you to umpire confidently.
