With an explosion of interest recently in girls and ladies cricket, Claygate is now offering the chance for girls to come and learn how to play this fast growing sport. Claygate have adopted the name of Claygate Diamonds for the girls’ side.

Club Manager Russ Guyatt added, “Our girls’ side is a new development for us. We launched the initiative a few weeks ago and already have over a dozen girls training enthusiastically. The intention is that Claygate Diamonds will play a number of competitive games in the summer against similar teams from local clubs.

‘This is an exciting sponsorship and is another step in terms of broadening our cricketing ‘offer’ and we’re delighted that The Game Larder is helping in this way! “

The Game Larder’s partner Nicholas Jefferies commented, “We’re really pleased to help the cricket club in this way and look forward to the development of the girls’ side this summer.”

CCC has already enjoyed an excellent ad-hoc relationship with the Game Larder over a number of years. It is Claygate’s leading independent family-run supplier of meat products and the quality of their meats and butchery service is very well known locally.

The Club already has support from two major sponsors – local estate agent Grosvenor Billinghurst and pub/restaurant The Hare and Hounds, both of whom enjoy visibility through their relationship with the club in a variety of different ways.
