The Saturday 1st XI travelled to Morden CC in torrential rain. Captain Luke Webb deployed all his negotiating skills to manufacture a game, however the opposition were having none of it, and the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Given the thunder and lightning that struck a mere hour later, this was probably the correct decision. The rest of the afternoon was spent in the Hare & Hounds where Captain Webb and his wife, Mrs Webb, gave the team a lesson in darts.

With all league games called off, Claygate remain in second place, ahead of a key match against current leaders South Nutfield CC at home next week.
